How often should gutters be cleaned?
For most South East properties, once a year is the minimum, in late autumn after leaf fall. If your property has trees nearby, which is common across Sevenoaks, Horsham, the Surrey Hills, and the Kent Weald, twice a year is advisable. We see plenty of blocked gutters in spring too, after the winter gales have deposited debris.
Do you remove and dispose of the debris?
Yes. We bag and remove all gutter debris. It will not end up on your roof, garden, or driveway.
Can you repair leaking gutter joints?
We do not carry out structural repairs, but we clearly identify any leaking joints or damaged sections while we are working. We can recommend a local roofer if needed.
Are fascias and soffits included?
We offer fascia, soffit, and barge board cleaning as part of the same visit. We clean the outside face of the guttering and fascia boards as well as clearing the inside of the gutter channel, so you get a thorough result, not just a surface-level job.
Do I need to be home while you clean the gutters?
Not necessarily. We need access to the property exterior and ideally a water supply. For most jobs you do not need to be in. We confirm arrangements when we book.
